Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 October 2026
These terms apply when you subscribe to Exeter Notify. Please read them before you buy. Nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About us
Exeter Notify is an independent service based in the United Kingdom.
Email: [email protected]
2. What you get
Exeter Notify watches public event listings on FIXR for the event organisers we cover and posts instant alerts to a private Telegram group when:
- a new event goes on sale
- more tickets or entry times are released for an event
- sold-out tickets come back on sale (restocks)
Wednesday Alerts cover Wednesday night events. All Alerts cover every event from the organisers we cover, every night of the week. We may change which organisers and events we cover from time to time. If we stop covering something that was a main part of your plan, you can cancel and we'll refund any unused part of your current period.
3. Alerts are best effort
We work hard to send alerts within seconds, but we can't guarantee that:
- every drop will be caught, or caught instantly
- tickets will still be available when you open the alert
- prices, times or event details in an alert are exactly right. FIXR and the organiser are always the final word.
The service depends on third parties we don't control, including FIXR, Telegram and the event organisers. Occasional delays or gaps can happen.
Exeter Notify is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by FIXR, any event organiser or venue, the University of Exeter or the Students' Guild. Tickets are bought directly from FIXR, under FIXR's terms.
4. Who can subscribe
You must be 18 or over and have a Telegram account. Your subscription is for your personal use: please don't share your invite link, add other people to the group, or forward or resell our alerts. If you do, we may remove you from the group. If we do that because you broke these terms, we won't refund the rest of your period.
5. Prices, payment and renewal
- Prices are shown on our website and at checkout, and the price you see is the price you pay.
- Payments are taken by Stripe when you subscribe.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (every month, or every 3 months on 3-month plans) and you'll be charged the same price again, until you cancel.
- If we change our prices, we'll tell you by email at least 14 days before your next renewal. You can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.
6. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal. The link is also in your welcome email and every billing email. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, then you're removed from the group automatically and won't be charged again.
7. Your 14-day right to cancel
When you first subscribe, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of your purchase.
- Your access starts straight away when you subscribe, because that's what you've asked for.
- If you cancel within the 14 days, we'll refund what you paid minus a fair amount for the days you've had access, within 14 days of you telling us.
- To cancel within the 14 days, email [email protected] saying you want to cancel and request your refund, from the email address you subscribed with. You can use the model form below if you like, but you don't have to.

I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the supply of the following service: Exeter Notify [plan name]

Name: [your name]
Email address used to subscribe: [email]
Date: [date]
8. Refunds after the first 14 days
After the first 14 days, payments for a period that has already started aren't refundable, including over holidays when the service keeps running. This doesn't affect your legal rights, for example if the service isn't provided as described. If something's gone wrong, email us and we'll put it right.
9. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for providing the service with reasonable care and skill, as described here. We're not responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for anything outside our control, such as tickets selling out, FIXR or Telegram outages, or event changes or cancellations. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and your legal rights as a consumer always apply.
10. If we suspend or end the service
We may pause the service briefly for maintenance or problems outside our control. If we decide to stop providing Exeter Notify, we'll let you know and refund any unused part of your current period.
11. Your data
How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if a change affects your subscription in an important way, we'll tell you by email before it applies, so you can cancel if you don't agree.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you have a complaint, please email [email protected] first. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
